The Generation Axe tour at Revention Music Center, featuring noted guitar-shredders Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Zakk Wylde and others, has also been scratched, according to Live Nation. So is the show at House of Blues featuring Harlem rapper Dave East and Houston's Doeman.

However, Bane will proceed as scheduled tonight at Walters Downtown, according to promoter Willow Villareal. Even before the flooding, Houston-based EDM/pop singer Sugar Joiko’s show at Warehouse Live had already been canceled “due to unforseen circumstances,” according to the venue’s website. The status of other regularly scheduled Monday-night events is undetermined.
One venue that appears to be open this evening is Montrose bar The Flat, whose long-running Rocksteady Mondays (hosted by DJ Rolle) will proceed as scheduled. Happy hour starts at 4 p.m., for those who can get there.
