Saturday Morning Bake Sale at Fluff Bake Bar

This week’s Saturday morning bake sale features a pretty well-known name in the culinary world: chef Bryan Caswell of Reef, Little Big’s, El Real Tex Mex, Jackson Street Barbecue and Food Network fame. Get there early if you want first dibs, as the goods will be available from 10 a.m. until they sell out.
H-town Beer Fest at Jones Plaza
Saturday, 2 to 10 p.m.
Houston’s premier beer festival will feature suds from dozens of brewers, including Buffalo Bayou, Ballast Point, Kona and Real Ale, plus a “Best of Houston” beer tent. The day will also showcase live music, from brass and funk to DJs and punk, and there'll be plenty of vendors on site with merchandise and grub. Tickets are $25 and include a souvenir wristband and cup. Full servings of beer will be $4 to $7 (cash only). Designated driver tickets can be purchased for $15.
2nd Annual Alcohol Infused Festival at Giulietta Sociale
Sunday, 2 to 10 p.m.
With their second annual boozy dessert fest, alcohol-infused ice cream purveyors The Tipsy Dessert Bar are offering the opportunity to experience liquor in a whole new way. Vendors and food trucks will be on hand serving up boozy bites and drinks, while drinking games, raffles, live music and DJs add to the fun. General admission tickets can be purchased for $5 with sampling from vendors available for purchase on site.

Persian Kitchen Pop-Up at Wooster’s Garden
Sunday, 6 to 9 p.m.
Chefs Kevin Naderi (of Roost) and Arash Kharat (the social media rockstar @spacecitycowboy) are teaming up to bring a Persian Kitchen to the popular Midtown beer garden. The family-style feast will feature a mixed platter with marinated and grilled chicken kebab, 44 Farms beef kebab, yogurt-marinated Gulf fish kebab and eggplant and heirloom tomato stew with ground lamb, all served with a traditional herb and feta plate, yogurt and cucumber, warm naan and basmati rice. The meal costs $32 for two people or $60 for four. For an additional $4, add a Persian saffron-and-rose-water ice cream doughnut sandwich.
Sushi + Sake Sunday at KUU
Sunday, 6:30 p.m.
Treat yourself to a “Sushi + Sake Sunday” featuring six chef’s-choice (omakase) courses from the talented Adison Lee. Applying his training with master sushi chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Lee will create edible works of art using fresh seafood flown in straight from Japan, the highest-quality Wagyu beef and beautiful seasonal produce. Expert sommelier Ricky Cheung will provide perfect sake pairings to complement the meal. The intimate culinary event costs $80 per guest and reservations can be made by calling 713-461-1688.
