Academy of St. Martin in the Fields Wind Ensemble

Though its string ensemble is already well-known to CMH audiences, the celebrated Academy of St Martin in the Fields offers us a wind ensemble in a program featuring two superb quintets for piano and winds by the masters: Mozart and Beethoven. The Academy of St Martin in the Fields was founded by Sir Neville Marriner in 1958 and is currently led by Music Director Joshua Bell. Members of London’s famous chamber orchestra, the Academy’s Wind Ensemble will be performing with Caroline Palmer, piano, as well. Enjoy this beautiful program being presented by Chamber Music Houston on the Rice University campus.
