Black Fret Ball

Black Fret is happy to announce its 2020 Virtual Black Fret Ball and the start of the 2021 Membership Drive, featuring a new, $750 membership level to make supporting our local music and music ecosystem easier than ever. On Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. CT, Black Fret will hold its first ever virtual Black Fret Ball. Featuring performances from the entire class of 2020 Black Fret Nominees, this very special event will celebrate not only their artistic excellence, but the perseverance these artists have exhibited in the face of a global pandemic. In recognition of these challenges, Black Fret has awarded each Nominee an $8,000 grant, for a total of $160,000. The 2020 Black Fret Nominees include DOSSEY, Bayonne, Cilantro Boombox, Nobody’s Girl, Altamesa, Ali Holder, Darkbird, Moving Panoramas, Sir Woman, Carrie Rodriguez, Sam Houston & Blk Odyssy, The Belle Sounds, Nane, Think No Think, Dr JOE, Henry Invisible, Croy and the Boys, Love & Chaos, Barbara Nesbitt and Alesia Lani.
