Blaque Tcherie, a new independent film by Director Vincent Victoria, tells the story of the founding of the first African American girlie magazine in 1954.Set in Harlem, the film chronicles the attempt of two ambitious black men to get famous female stars of the day Eartha Kitt, Lena Horne, and Dorothy Dandridge to pose as centerfolds. The film stars Houston favorites Brandon Morgan and Harold Jay Trotter.
Note the movie will screened at two locations. June 18th at Cinemark Tinseltown and June 19th and 20th at Midtown Art Center 3414 La Branch. [Organizer's description]
