In partnership with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, The Health Museum presents a virtual discussion with Sylvia Brown over “Cancer Symptoms Women Shouldn't Ignore.” The signs of cancer can be vague and similar to symptoms of other illnesses. Learn what to watch out for, tests to find cancer early when it’s most treatable, and lifestyle changes that can lower your risk.
About the speaker:
Sylvia Brown, M.S.N, R.N., O.C.N, C.N.L, O.N.N-CG, is a nurse navigator in the Cancer Prevention Center at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She delivers cancer prevention presentations in the greater Houston area. Brown graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston with a degree in nursing and a master’s degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s University.
