Help shape the future of MacGregor Park! The MacGregor Park Master Plan, created in 2016 by the Houston Parks and Recreation Department (HPARD) and Friends of MacGregor Park, is being reviewed to update proposed park improvements to reflect current and future needs of the community.
A virtual public meeting is planned for Tuesday, June 15th for park users and neighbors to provide input on the 2016 Master Plan and discuss ideas for updating the plan. All are welcome to attend the meeting to learn about the plan and how they can participate in improving it for the future.
Because community input is a key component of this process, a series of three community meetings will be scheduled this summer and fall to receive input on park features – what is working and what can be improved – from those who live, work, play, pray, or learn in the MacGregor Park area.
The park is located off Brays Bayou at 5225 Calhoun, Houston, Texas 77021.

The Houston Parks Board will lead the process with consultant M2L Associates, guided by the Friends of MacGregor Park, MacGregor Park Conservancy, and the Houston Parks and Recreation Department, with input from stakeholders, public agencies, and community organizations. The project team also includes Gooden Engineers and RDC Architects.
A Steering Committee which includes the City of Houston, Harris County Precinct One, Greater Houston Southeast Management District, University of Houston, Texas Southern University, Rice University, Houston Endowment, Zina Garrison Academy, and METRO will assure that the MacGregor Park Master Plan Update considers recent projects and planned improvements in and around the park.
