Meet Dayana Halawo and learn about her four-year journey to flee Syria to the United States. She left her home in Homs while the city was being bombed along with her husband and two children. Her journey led her to Damascus, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt before being resettled in Houston in 2016. Holocaust Museum Houston's young professional group, NEXTGen, is excited to host this event in collaboration with our current exhibition, "The Faces of Syrian Refugees," on view through August 26, 2018.
