The Salvation Army of Greater Houston
During the holiday season, many families in Houston will find themselves having to choose between paying the bills, putting a meal on their tables or filling up their gas tanks. COVID-19 has increased this need as many parents find themselves out of work and not able to celebrate the holidays with their children. However, every year The Salvation Army’s Annual Thanksgiving Fest helps provide families with meals to celebrate the holidays and this year we will continue that tradition, though modified, so that every child, senior, and people in need across Houston has the opportunity to celebrate Thanksgiving with a warm meal. The event is open and free to everyone in the community who would like a plate of food, celebrate and give thanks with loved ones.
Anyone interested in volunteering can contact 713-650-6530 to sign up. We will follow up via phone call or email after receiving your contact information to confirm. [Organizer's description]
