Erasure or blackout poetry is a type of found poetry created by taking an existing text and “erasing” or blacking out words on the page.
The poet uses marker, pen, paint, or digital methods to "erase" words on the page, leaving behind the words that form a new and original poem.
Learn how to create your own erasure poems using used books. This workshop is open to all ages. There will be texts to play with and create poetry, or participants can bring their own books to erase.
