Houston Early Music will present Exiled, a concert by Istanpitta, Saturday, Feb. 25, at Kaplan Theater, Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston.
Exiled
Focusing on its 2022-23 season theme of Transitions and Transformations, Houston Early Music's next concert explores the expulsion of Jews from Medieval Spain.
Exiled, performed by the early music ensemble Istanpitta, weaves the music and tales of musicians' lives around 1492.
The concert will include traditional Sephardic songs in the language known as Ladino, and other compelling medieval works.
