Texas State Board of Education District 4 Member, Staci Childs, invites the Houston community to come together for an evening of learning, reflection, and celebration in recognition of Black History Month! Join us as we hear from community leaders and grasp the state of academic achievement among Black students in Harris County. Together, let’s celebrate Black educational excellence and recognize opportunities for improvement in our public schools. Teachers, students, parents, school leaders, community members, and elected officials are welcomed to attend. Don’t miss out on this engaging community gathering- including music, free food, Black History trivia, and prizes!
