Join us for an intimate musical performance of Dmitri Shostakovich's best compositions, headed by Hans Graf, former Music Director of the Houston Symphony. In the program: Conversation by Hans Graf - maestro will talk about first and last compositions by Shostakovich, Sonata for Cello and Piano in D minor, Op. 40. Performers: Hasmik Vardanyan (cello), Yukino Miyake (piano). Ms. Hasmik Vardanyan is a Performance Certificate Graduate Cellist at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music; she is a student of professor Vagram Saradjian.
She will be accompanied by Yukino Miyake. Ms. Miyake is a member of junior faculty at the Moores School of Music. In 2016 she had been awarded Outstanding Collaborative Artist of the Year from the UNF School of Music and had become a winner of the Los Angeles Liszt International Competition.
