The Altus Foundation and the City of Houston are hosting Houston’s largest gala on December 8 to raise funds for the Houston community and beyond. The glamorous evening will feature stunning performances and entertainment, celebrity attendance, a seated dinner, live and silent auctions, lively dancing and more. The evening will also honor an individual who directly benefited from the Altus Foundation. Last year, the gala raised $675,000 for the Altus Foundation, and more than 1,500 guests attended the spectacular event, including Whitney Mercilus, Chris Clark, Ephraim Salaam, Chester Pitts, Dallas Keuchel, Miguel Montero, Alex Cintron and Travis Johnson. Mayor Sylvester Turner also awarded Houston police officer Norberto Ramon the Harvey Hero Award for his acts of bravery and courage during Hurricane Harvey. [Organizer's description]
