Houston Symphony presents Mahler’s First Symphony at Jones Hall on April 20 and 22-23. Prepare for an extraordinary musical journey as renowned Finnish conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste leads Mahler’s blazingly theatrical First Symphony in a thrilling showcase of the Houston Symphony’s virtuosity and expressive power. In addition, violinist Elina Vähälä joins the Symphony to perform the violin concerto written for her by Jaakko Kuusisto to show off her phenomenal talents.
