Houston History Alliance www.houstonhistoryalliance.org presents a day-long conference featuring trailblazers such as former Mayor Annise Parker, Nikki Van Hightower, Ellen Cohen and others, who have shaped our city.  Dr. Ruth J. Simmons, President of Prairie View A&M University is the keynote speaker. Houston Women: Agitating, Educating, Advocating is set for Saturday, October 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Midtown Arts and Theater Complex Houston (MATCH) located at 3400 S.
