We are excited to invite you to our annual Masquerade! The 2019 event is a masquerade ball with black and white formal attire or cocktail attire. The amazing Hotel Van Zandt in downtown Austin is the location once again, and Skyrocket! is back by popular demand. It will be a fun-filled evening with a seated dinner, featured speaker Susan Sparks, master of ceremonies Troy and Tommi Vincent and a live auction with unforgettable items. The evening kicks off at 6pm with a cocktail reception that includes hors-d'oeuvres, champagne, raffles, and photos. Dinner seating begins at 7pm. Skyrocket! the band plays until 10:30pm, and this crowd loves to dance! Over the course of two decades, Susan Sparks was a reporter, a high-powered executive, and a mom. She was also a victim of domestic abuse. It was when she inadvertently came across a poster for the National Domestic Violence Hotline in her doctor's office that she realized she not only fit the profile of an abused woman, but that thirteen of the fifteen listed signs applied to her. Because the poster in her doctor's office provided by The Hotline saved her life, she is a strong supporter of The Hotline and other organizations working to ensure the safety of victims/survivors. She created The Soda Fund, a charity dedicated to helping organizations that help victims of domestic violence and abuse. She is the author of a newly released book: Sparks in Love. As national leaders and advocates against domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse, Troy and Tommi Vincent's commitment to LEADERSHIP OVER VIOLENCE has afforded them a powerful voice for the voiceless. They demonstrate their character and desire to affect change by visiting shelters, speaking to advocacy groups and challenging others to lend their platforms to fight injustice. There is much anticipation as our goal is to raise over $300,000 for the National Domestic Violence Hotline and to create a night to remember. [Organizer's description]
