Join Asia Society Texas to celebrate the opening of our new Grand Hall exhibition 'Lain Singh Bangdel: Moon Over Kathmandu', as we activate our Fayez Sarofim Grand Hall with works from Nepal's preeminent modern artist Lain Singh Bangdel (1919-2002). An artist, writer, and art historian, the late Lain Singh Bangdel is a distinguished figure in South Asia's art, literature, and culture. The exhibition assembles approximately 20 of Bangdel's paintings to chart the artist's pioneering pursuit of abstraction that would help define a modern Nepal. Enjoy light refreshments while viewing the art in this celebratory reception for our Grand Hall exhibition.
