During the 2021 Spring Round Top Antiques Fair, three different sites in Round Top - The Farm at Wellville, The Halles, and The Compound - invite attendees to a pop up art event at each property featuring large-scale installations from the exhibition Slant of Light by internationally renowned artist Rachel Hayes. Curated by Piper Faust Public Art, the site-specific panels in the Round Top exhibition are delicately crafted by the artist, who meshes polyester, nylon, lace, and mesh fabrics with vibrant, ecstatic palettes and sews them together to create unique forms and geometric patterns to evoke a sense of engagement between the viewer and the existing architecture of the surrounding environment. In addition to The Farm at Wellville details listed, installations at The Halles (1465 Texas 237, Round Top, TX 78954) will be on view March 18 through April 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; The Compound (2550 Texas 237, Round Top, TX 78954) will be on view March 20 through April 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.. Admission is free of charge and open to the public.
Additionally, The Farm at Wellville will welcome beloved Texas retailers CITY Boots, Garment Modern Vintage, Lovely Bird, Second Chance Custom, Saint Shore, and Unwind Studio, who will be on site with their latest collections and services with lite bites and refreshments courtesy of Austin-based Teal House Coffee & Bakery. Pop up vendors will be present at all locations. [Organizer's description]
