Science Cafe - Van Gogh at Work: His Materials and Techniques

The influence of chemistry on great masterworks of the art world is often overlooked. The Greater Houston Section of the American Chemical Society, in conjunction with the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, is excited to host a public Science Cafe exploring the intersection of chemistry and art in the works of Van Gogh, presented by Dr. David Bomford, Chair of the Department of Conservation at the MFAH. Admission to this special lecture is free. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and is limited to 350. Auditorium doors open 30 minutes before the start of the lecture.
