Sensory Friendly Day

Sensory Friendly Day is an opportunity for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), sensory processing differences, learning differences and disabilities to explore the Discovery Center at their own pace and time. Doors are closed to the general public for this special event which bursts with valuable Autism resources and interactive activities, provides a comfortable, protected and accepting environment, and gives parents opportunities to make connections with other families and the Autism community. Special care is taken to provide a comfortable experience, including playing no music and providing sound-reducing headphones. Families may bring their own food during this time.
