Sheila Leatherwood: I Like Making Faces

Sheila Leatherwood Uploaded by Exhibitions
"I Like Making Faces" is a solo exhibition of figurative works by Sheila Leatherwood. Her stylized, modern portraits are a mixture of both real and imaginary people. Sheila’s use of layers of bright colors, combined with her favorite medium of collage, results in a whimsical style. Her portraits are expressive and intuitively tell their stories, hopefully evoking a smile from the viewer. The exhibition will be held in Bay 300 Gallery, near the east end of the Silos at Sawyer Yards studio building. Join the artist for a public reception on February 10, from 4-6pm.
