GJ Tavern, the downtown Houston tavern from Underbelly Hospitality, will host a six-course wine dinner on Wednesday, September 28 at 6 pm. Chef Tim Reading’s menu will include:
First course: East Coast Oyster Caviar paired with Guy Larmandier Cramant;
Second course: Scallop Crudo paired with Remi Jobard Bourgogne 2018;
Third course: Smoked Trout paired with Chateau Carbonnieux Sauvignon Blanc 2019;
Fourth course: Seared Duck paired with Egelhoff Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2014;
Fifth course: Braised Veal paired with Arnot Roberts Cabernet Sauvignon 2016;
Sixth course: Blue Cheese paired with Warre’s Late Bottled Vintage 2008.
