Splice Records is thrilled to announce their Four-Year Anniversary Bash on Friday, July 6 at White Oak Music Hall located at 2915 N. Main St., Houston, Texas 77009. Saint Arnold Brewery is sponsoring the bash and the evening will feature music from Brooklyn-based Pimps of Joytime (performing for the very first time in Houston), Austin-based one-man show Henry + The Invisibles and Houston-based band texture:Yellow. For the past four years, Splice Records has been highlighting the amazing musicianship from Texas-based artists and now it’s time to celebrate their incredible four years making waves in the music industry in the Lone Star State. Doors will be at 8:00 p.m., with music starting at 8:30 p.m. For more information on Splice Records, please see: www.splicerecordstx.com. The celebration also happens to be Splice Founder and Owner, Shaun Brennan’s 40th birthday party.
“Splice Records reaching the four-year mark in the Texas music scene means the world to us as a local Texas business,” said Splice Records CEO Shaun Brennan. “Many memories and thoughts come to mind in reflecting back at the hard work we have put in, the relationships we have made, the mistakes we learned from, and the growing pains of staying fresh in the scene while remaining true to the roots of our overall mission of supporting Texas music.”
“The July 6 show is monumental for us and the lineup was put together with a lot of heart,” said Brennan. “We get to bring the Pimps of Joytime, from Brooklyn, New York to my hometown for the very first time. A band that I think has the best live show that I have seen. Matching them with an opener like Henry + The Invisibles allows us to represent the Austin market in Houston with a stellar performer and friend of Splice. All the while also showcasing a young band from Houston, texture: Yellow, that we think has a great sound and a very bright future. We honestly think this will be one of the best shows in the city this summer!” [Organizer's description]
