Due to the coronavirus, many events have been canceled or postponed, and our listings may not reflect those changes. Please check with organizers before making plans.
We’re joining the Lake Livingston Event lead by Park Rangers for a unique stargazing experience in the park!
Rangers will show you some of the most popular constellations and tell the stories behind them. There may be an opportunity to view any visible planets or nebulae through a telescope. The visible stars and planets change a little each month, so you’ll see new things each time you come to visit!
What to bring:
- Blanket or chair
- Binoculars, optional
Where to meet:
Peninsula near the park activity center
Arrive by 8:30pm to allow yourself to find the location, park, and meet the group before the starts start at 9pm.
NOTE: The park closes at 10pm. If you're interested in spending the night, please reserve a camping spot here (https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/).
The event is free but you'll need to pay the $5 per person park entrance fee if you don't have a state park pass. Use the after-hours fee process.
