Tejas Got Soul- AVIZO

Avizo is a Grammy-nominated Tejano band from Houston, Texas whose sound also embodies cumbia, conjunto, salsa, and vintage R&B. They are locally known as "Houston's Powerhouse,” which describes their enormous sound and energy. This performance will also pay tribute to two pioneering groups associated with Houston Chicano music legacy: Big Lu y Los Muchachos and Neto Perez and the Young Originals.  Discover a special Houston musical heritage with Tejas Got Soul at Discovery Green: three free concerts made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance.
