Invite your friends to enjoy a day full of shooting games, prizes, silent auction and a fantastic sporting clay tournament. Proceeds benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Andy Allen Clays for a Cure Challenge was created in 2014, the year that Andy Allen relapsed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), by a group of volunteers who considered the Allen family. Well, “family.” We simply had to do something to help Andy and others like him. Andy’s chemo protocol didn’t exist when he battled leukemia the first time. Leukemia research saved his life. Since 2014, we've raised over $140,000 at the Andy Allen Clays for a Cure Challenge to fund LLS research. We want to celebrate our 5th anniversary by having our best year yet! Samica Knight, ABC-13, will be our Master of Ceremonies and Sheriff Ed Gonzalez will be our Master Ambassador. Come shoot, see the Wells Fargo iconic stagecoach, get expert shooting instruction from Steve Liberta, watch a Drake's Sporting Dogs demonstration, get your gun cleaned by The Gun Cleaners of Houston, bid on silent auction items, buy a $25 raffle ticket for a chance at a $2,400 wine package (proceeds benefit Be The Match) or meet the Halter family and get a signed children's book about their little hero. We'll have some BBQ & fixins and a special awards presentation. [Organizer's description]
