The City of Galveston has taken great pride in being the “Birthplace of Juneteenth” and this year’s celebrations will only get bigger and better- starting off with Friday, June 17th , with the Juneteenth Comedy Festival, featuring comedians- Billy D. Washington, Comedian Grossman, Rodney Bigham, Dave Lawson and many more. The Juneteenth Comedy Festival will take place in The Galveston Convention Center, located at the historic San Luis Resort.
