FotoFest is closing In Place of an Index with a pompom-making, photograph-taking workshop led by artist Travis Boyer. Inspired by his work featured in the current FotoFest exhibition in which Boyer examines the legacy of Tejano pop-icon Selena through the lens of her DIY fashions and fashion boutique, Boyer will lead guests of all ages through the process of making their own decorative pom poms using basic craft materials and work with guest to photograph their creations in portraits and still life images. Guest-made items and photos will go home with their maker! [Organizer's description]
