Two Saints and a Taco Tasting

Two Saints and a Taco Tasting will celebrate its 10th Anniversary by bringing the event to the University of St. Thomas - Houston campus on Friday, June 11, 2021. A general admission ticket is $50, a VIP ticket is $100 and a virtual ticket is free. This friendly taco tasting competition will be the "tac-o-the-town" complete with taco entries from a number of well-known Houston restaurants, online auction and entertainment. The hybrid, adults-only event will remain sensitive to pandemic conditions as we finalize our plans. This flagship alumni event has raised more than $600,000 in support of students since its inception, funding scholarships for more than 100 students. On this 10th anniversary, the goal is to raise an additional $100,000 for the Alumni Association Annual Scholarship Fund. The main attraction of the event is a friendly, yet competitive, taco-tasting contest between local restaurants, which support the University by donating, preparing and serving a strategically selected, signature taco while vying for the coveted Judges’ Choice and Peoples’ Choice trophies. Celebrity judges add to the excitement. This year’s judges will include presidents and heads of local Catholic High Schools as well as the president of KSBJ-FM. Additional celebrity judges will be announced at a later date. This year, event chairs are legacy family father and daughter duo John Marion Carrabba ’80 and Jessica Carrabba ’14.
