Horse Head Theatre Co. Presents WE’RE GONNA DIE by Young Jean Lee. Directed by Jacey Little + Musical Direction & Arrangements by Alli Villines. Friday, August 17 - Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Various Houston Venues. Join us for opening & closing night at The Secret Group on August 17 & September 1! Young Jean Lee’s WE’RE GONNA DIE is somewhere in between a play and a concert. With an open-mic night vibe, performer Alli Villines shares a collection of real-life stories about tragedy, isolation and mortality; that alone in-pain feeling we all experience, often more than we’d like to admit. But tonight, you’re not alone. With disarming candor, Alli brings us together through song. This life-affirming concert is about the one thing we all have in common: WE’RE GONNA DIE -- a thought that becomes ironically comforting, if we embrace it together. From August 17 - September 1, 2018, Horse Head will present WE’RE GONNA DIE by Young Jean Lee at nine unique Houston concert venues. Catch the show at your favorite music spot, including The Secret Group, Fitzgerald’s, Spruce Goose and more! Recommended for audience age 13 + for mild language and existential themes. WE'RE GONNA DIE was originally produced by Caleb Hammons for 13 Playwrights Inc., in association with Young Jean Lee's Theater Company. WE'RE GONNA DIE premiered in April 2011 at Joe's Pub in New York, NY. WE’RE GONNA DIE is funded in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance. [Organizer's description]
