WITS Live Writing Workshop for Kids: A Phenomenal Event

What if tornadoes had powerful dreams? What if the rain wanted to bring peace to the earth? What if the rainbow longed for true friendship? In this 90-minute workshop, we’ll let our imaginations run free! Our young participants will be invited to share their ideas about a variety of natural phenomena and create beautiful written pieces inspired by their favorite one. We will have music and smiles. Please come prepared with a notebook, pencils, a piece of construction paper, and markers! See you soon! This workshop will be presented live, via Microsoft Teams, at Dinorah Pérez-Rementería received a B.A. in Theater from the Higher Institute of Arts in Havana, Cuba, and an M.A. in Latin American studies from the University of Miami. As a teacher, she considers how ethics and aesthetics can have a positive impact on youth education. Her articles have appeared in such magazines as Art Nexus, Arte al Día International, ArtPulse, and others. Dinorah has worked with Writers in the Schools for 13 years, facilitating creative workshops for writers, teachers, and students as well as mentoring new teaching artists. [Organizer's description]
