Tickets for the three-day Writefest conference for $425, which will increase to $495 on May 27
Writespace, a Houston-based nonprofit literary organization dedicated to offering high-quality writer training and mentorship opportunities at affordable prices, will hold its fourth annual Writefest on May 27 – June 2. The Writefest conference will be at the Anderson-Clarke Center at Rice University Glasscock School of Continuing Studies, 6100 S. Main, on Friday, May 31 through Sunday, June 2. The weekend conference at the Anderson-Clarke will begin on Friday, May 31, at 9:30 a.m. with a keynote address by Skip Hollandsworth and Mimi Schwartz, who are both Texas Monthly executive editors as well as authors of New York Times bestsellers. The three-day conference offers four tracks: a mini-workshop track where attendees can practice writing techniques; a career track to discuss the process to have work published; a marketing track to guide writers on how to promote themselves and market their work; and an “intersectionality” track for how to write on social issues.
