With a strangely uncolorful décor straight out of the '70s, this place could do with an update, although the food is remarkably solid. Large portions of Tex-Mex at cheap prices are the order of the day here, served up to an almost exclusively older, Anglo crowd. The El Matador dip (queso with fajita meat) is sure to please. Some authentic Mexican dishes, like mole and alambres (kebabs), can also be found on the extensive menu, as can many seafood dishes, like the wonderful filet norteño (red snapper topped with shrimp, spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes).
