The Gulfton location of Mexican-fusion seafood chain Mambo fuses a variety of culinary cultures together and serves the result up in a casually festive atmosphere. The ceviche stands out the most here – Mambo is true to the tradition of serving ceviche made with only white fish, uncomplicated by any other kind of seafood. (Otherwise it becomes a seafood salad.) They do, however, add avocado, onion, cilantro and tomato, creating interest and a sublime fresh flavor. Other popular dishes include friend shrimp, fried rice, gumbo and oysters on the half shell. Wash whatever you order down with their spicy specialty, the michelada.
