If you like your barbecue really smoky and cooked on a real pit, you'll love the 'cue at this shack in the Fifth Ward. There's no a/c in the tiny place, so most people get their orders to go. Homemade links, both mild and hot, brisket, ribs and turkey are all excellent, as are the sides, including dirty rice, mustard greens and barbecue beans. They also make po-boys.
