Buffalo Wild Wings was founded in 1982 when a guy from Buffalo, New York traveled to Ohio to judge an amateur figure skating competition and failed to find any wings that measured up to the ones at home. Now B-Dubs, as it likes to call itself, has spread to nearly every state in the U.S. with more than 600 locations, including Houston, where it's easy to find on Voice Places. The yellow-and-black logo features a buffalo that has sprouted majestic wings, but make no mistake--it's strictly chicken here, available in regular or boneless varieties in 21 flavors from Garlic Parmesan and Caribbean Jerk to Asian Zing and the simply named but much feared Blazin'. Every location features a plethora of televisions for your sports-watching needs and a plentiful selection of beer on tap.

And if for some reason you need a break from looking at half-naked gyrating young females, the Colorado offers billiards, tabletop video games and Golden Tee. From its old-school-Vegas-style sign to its super-friendly staff, the Colorado has a look and feel quite unlike that at other places where ladies twirl on poles in clear high heels for strangers. Some gentlemen's clubs tend to go overboard on creating an illusion of exclusivity; the Colorado is laid-back and lacks pretense. Who knows? You might even become a regular.

MKT BAR is located right inside Phoenicia Specialty Foods, one of the best grocery stores in the city. It's also not a bad little date place, with enough dim lighting and extensive wine and beer lists to keep you busy in addition to the bar food. All of the music is local, and ranges from DJ sets, jazz combos, light rock offerings so it's not too intrusive.
