8th Wonder Beer Dinner at Ginger & Fork
Ginger & Fork, 4705 Inker, will be hosting its second beer dinner with 8th Wonder Brewery beginning at 6 p.m. For $88 per person, guests can enjoy five paired courses, including Boss Beer Pineapple Wheat with fresh pineapple chicken fried rice, Hopston Texas IPA with orange bell pepper beef, and Rocket Fuel Vietnamese Coffee Porter with Asian pear bread pudding. Outdoor Cooking Series: Revival Reunion at Eight Row Flint
Eight Row Flint, 1039 Yale, continues its Outdoor Cooking Series in August with a Revival Reunion. Each week, a former staff member of Revival Market will return to cook on the patio, with this week featuring all-star Joey Luna, who worked almost every position from early morning bacon slicer to assistant manager. Luna will be serving up tacos árabes with purslane salad, available from 5 to 8 p.m. (or until sold out).
Uchi and Nobie’s Chef Collaboration Dinner at Uchi
The culinary teams at Uchi and Nobie’s are teaming up for a chef collaboration dinner, held at Uchi, 904 Westheimer, at 6:30 p.m. Guests will be greeted with a welcome beverage before moving on to a six-course meal created by the chef team, including dessert and takeaways for each attendee. Tickets for the event and dinner are $100 per person; a check for additional beverages and gratuity will be passed to the guests at the conclusion of the meal. Xocolla Chocolate Tasting at Bar Victor
Bar Victor, 4321 Montrose, is hosting its first exclusive dégustation featuring Xocolla chocolates. Guests can enjoy five drinks including rosé, liquor and cocktails to be paired with an assortment of gourmet chocolates. The tasting is $25 per person and will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Pupusa Lab at Axelrad
Hosted by Pop Ups by Chef Evelyn at Axelrad, 1517 Alabama, the Pupusa Lab pop-up runs from 6 to 10 p.m. Smash pupusas stuffed with fillings like brisket and Korean sesame sauce, chicken with Japanese curry, and charred eggplant with tzatziki sauce.
Thursday Chef Pop-Up at Glitter Karaoke
Known for her tamales, chef Arlene Morales of Geo's Catering will be popping into the kitchen at Glitter Karaoke, 2621 Milam, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The BrewMasters Craft Beer Festival at Moody Gardens Convention Center
Moody Gardens Convention Center, 7 Hope, will once again host Galveston’s finest three-day craft beer festival. Get tickets for individual events — including Friday’s Nach-Yo Ordinary Tequila Tasting ($30 or $35 at door); Saturday’s BrewHaHa Grand Tasting ($35 or $40 at the door, $15 designated driver passes, $85 for VIP); and Sunday’s Brew-B-Que ($23 or $30 at the door with a bbq plate, $8 or $10 at the door without a plate) — or get the two-day Big Hopper 2018 pass ($135) or three-day Weekender pass ($165).

Taste of the Caribbean Festival 2018 at BH Ranch Entertainment and Event Center
Head to the BH Ranch Entertainment and Event Center, 14149 Buxley, from 2 p.m. to midnight and get a taste of the Caribbean. Guests can expect Caribbean eats (think jerk chicken, Cuban roast pork, and island-style curry), plus plenty of music, dance, art and culture. Tickets are $20 pre-sale. A portion of proceeds from the 2018 edition will benefit The As One Foundation.
Texas Taco Throwdown at Henderson Heights
Henderson Heights, 908 Henderson, will throw its annual TX Taco Throwdown featuring Texas breweries, Texas craft spirits, and all-you-can-eat mini street tacos from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $29 online or $35 at the door and include a judging coin to give to your favorite taco and cocktail.
