Where to Dine Out in Houston This Valentine's Day Weekend

Lovers can enjoy four indulgent courses at CRU this Valentine's Day weekend.
Valentine's Day falls on a Sunday this year, and Houston's finest restaurants are here to help you bring the romance with a night out on the town. From fancy prix fixe meals complete with steaks, lobster and bubbly to casual affairs rocking fried chicken, chocolate and more, here's where to dine out in Houston this Valentine’s Day (and weekend).

The Annie Cafe & Bar, 1800 Post Oak, 713-804-1800
The $125 three-course prix-fixe menu and $155 flower arrangement are available to dine-in guests as well on Thursday through Sunday. Start with burrata with black truffles and toast and move onto dishes such as ahi tuna sashimi, bone-in ribeye with oxtail butter and chocolate layer cake. All dine-in guests will receive a complimentary small box of chocolates and have the option to order off the regular dinner menu as well.

B&B Butchers & Restaurant, 1814 Washington, 713-862-1814
In addition to its regular menu, guests can enjoy a three-course prix fixe dinner for $125 per person from Friday-Sunday, with a $155 flower arrangement available to pre-order for your table. Highlights include bacon-wrapped shrimp, prime bone-in ribeye, crab stuffed lobster tail, classic creamed spinach, New York cheesecake and more. All dine-in guests will receive a complimentary small box of chocolates and chocolate covered strawberries. Dine-in reservations are required.

B.B. Italia Kitchen & Bar, 14795 Memorial, 281-531-0696
Enjoy a four-course prix fixe dinner for $85 per person (in addition to the regular menu). Highlights include lobster bisque, truffle cheese ravioli, Sunday ragu, osso bucco, grilled salmon piccata, tiramisu and more. All dine-in guests will receive a complimentary small box of chocolates and can add preorder $65 flower arrangement for the table.

Babin's Seafood House
Enjoy Babin’s Chef’s Valentine’s Feature of shrimp and crab stuffed golden tile ($29.99) from February 12 through 14.

Backstreet Cafe, 1103 South Shepherd, 713-521-2239
Chef Hugo Ortega is offering a special Couple’s Menu on the nights of February 12, 13 and 14 ($110 per couple plus beverage, tax and gratuity), a Valentine’s Day brunch menu ($49 per person plus beverage, tax and gratuity) and a Valentine’s Day dinner menu ($85 per person plus beverage, tax & gratuity). Dnie on dishes such as roasted oysters and cheddar biscuit benedict at brunch, and Gulf Coast beignets, beef tartare and roast duck with miso duck jus at dinner. The restaurant will be open on Valentine’s Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday dinner hours are 3 to 9 p.m. Reservations are required.

Bistro Menil, 1513 West Alabama, 713-904-3537 
The bistro will offer a customizable Valentine's Day dinner and wine special from February 12 through 14,  featuring expertly paired European wines with three courses. Appetizer choices include sous-vide salmon salad, wild mushroom and white truffle bisque, or pâté de champagne paired with a lovely 2019 Italian Chablis; entrée choices are roasted sea bass with zucchini latke with caviar, pheasant breast with orange pan reduction and butternut squash puree, and Osso Bucco with creamy Parmesan polenta, paired with a 2018 Barolo; and dessert selections include an ethereal Coeur à la crème with raspberry sauce, tiramisu mille crêpe cake, or warm chocolate fondant with vanilla gelato complemented with Borgo Maragliano's 2019 Brachetto. The Valentine's Day Special with wine pairings is available for $110 per person plus tax and gratuity or without wine pairings for $89 per person plus tax and gratuity. Regular menus will also be available during dinner service.

Bloom & Bee, 1600 West Loop South
Galentine’s Brunch will be available February 12-13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at $45 per person. Share charcuterie and cheese then choose from dishes such as salmon benedict, quiche lorraine and red velvet cinnamon rolls, plus a Bloom & “Bee Box” of assorted French Pastries for dessert. The “Love in Full Bloom” Dinner Menu is available February 13-14 for $170 per couple. Start with the “I Melt” Baked Brie puff pastry, Chef O’s berry jam and crostini appetizers, then choose from options including lobster bisque , warm crab two ways, veal ossobucco and squid ink tagliatelle before finishing with a fondue “I Do” for two. 

Brasserie du Parc, 1440 Lamar, 832-879-2802
Join Brasserie du Parc for an evening of amour and a special three-course menu for $65 plus tax & gratuity offered February 12, 13 and 14. Menu highlights include jumbo lump crab cake in lemon beurre blanc, Prime New York filet au poivre and smoked chocolate mousse.

Brennan’s of Houston, 3300 Smith, 713-522-9711 
The classy Creole fine dining spot will be hosting a special Valentine’s Day dinner on both Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14. Reservations are required.

Brenner's on the Bayou, 1 Birdsall, 713-868-4444
Brenner’s on the Bayou will offer a curated, four-course menu for $99/person, featuring grilled octopus and egg, leek and oyster soup, black bass and baked honey apple crisp in addition to its regular menu.

Brenner's Steakhouse, 10911 Katy Freeway, 713-465-2901 
Brenner’s Steakhouse will feature a six-ounce center-cut filet with smoked garlic butter, a six-ounce grilled lobster tail and broccolini for $36.

Brio Italian Grille 
Friday through Sunday, Brio will offer a Valentine’s prix fixe, featuring romano-crusted Chilean sea bass in lobster butter sauce, beef medallions with shrimp and black pepper cream sauce and warm chocolate cake.

Caracol, 2200 Post Oak #160, 713-622-9996
Caracol will offer a special Couples Menu on the nights of February 12, 13 and 14 ($110 per couple plus beverage, tax and gratuity), a Valentine’s Day brunch menu ($49 per person plus beverage, tax and gratuity) and a Valentine’s Day dinner menu ($85 per person plus beverage, tax and gratuity). Menu highlights include fresh lobster tail with blackberry caviar, scallops in citrus-coriander oil, seafood squid ink black rice, Mexican chocolate dessert and more. The restaurant will be open on Valentine’s Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday dinner hours are 3 to 9 p.m. Reservations required.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill
Starting Tuesday, February 9 through Monday, February 15, Carrabba’s will offer a four-course dinner for two ($50), featuring dishes such as tomato caprese with fresh burrata, Caesar salad, Tuscan-grilled sirloin and a rich chocolate fudge brownie with chocolate mousse.

The wine bar and kitchen is offering a four-course prix fixe menu for $60, available Saturday and Sunday for dine-in. Dine on dishes such as Maine lobster and saffron risotto, filet mignon in red wine truffle sauce and molten chocolate cake.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, 5061 Westheimer
The Valentine’s Day Sweethearts Dinner for Two will be available February 12-14, starting at $199 and featuring and featuring two eight-ounce filets (upgrades available), one 14-ounce cold water lobster tail carved tableside and chocolate Godiva cheesecake.

On February 13 and 4 at Downtown Aquarium and from February 12–14 at Kemah Aquarium, diners will enjoy a Valentine’s Dinner for Two. Downtown Aquarium’s four-course prix-fixe menu is $100 per couple and includes a bottle of wine and features dishes including Clam Chowder, Blood Orange Salmon, Stuffed Flounder and Raspberry Mousse. Kemah Aquarium will offer guests a four-course prix-fixe for $99 per couple, including two glasses of champagne and dishes such as Chicken Gumbo, Top Sirloin and Grilled Shrimp, Shrimp Scampi Ravioli and Strawberry Shortcake.

The Houston-themed bar and restaurant is focusing on family love this Valentine’s weekend, offering kid-friendly hot chocolate with pink and white marshmallows and boozy hot chocolate for parents. Additionally, kids will eat free from 9 a.m. to noon with the purchase of an adult meal.

Etoile Cuisine et Bar, 1101-11 Uptown Park, 832-668-5808 
Etoile will be offering a four-course Valentine’s menu on Friday and Saturday ($78 per person plus tax and gratuity) in addition to the a la carte menu, as well as a Valentine’s Day brunch menu ($48 per person plus tax and gratuity). Menu highlights include Maine lobster bisque, duck foie gras “au torchon,” sea bass a la plancha, roasted duck in Port wine sauce and vanilla napoleon with caramel rum sauce.

Valentine's weekend specials include duck ragu, Chilean seabass and risotto, and tenderloin béarnaise with fried oysters and truffle mash, available Friday-Sunday.

Enjoy Grotto’s signature menu and sweetheart prix fixe menu this Valentine’s Weekend, available from February 12 through 14.

The Grove, 1611 Lamar, 713-337-7321
Friday through Sunday, The Grove will be offering a $75 pre-fixed menu for dinner, a four-course, chef inspired dinner that includes dessert and  live music on its second floor patio. Reservations are offered at 5:30, 6 and 6:30, and a second seating at 7:30, 8 and 8:30 p.m.

Guard and Grace, 500 Dallas, 346-326-0789
Guard and Grace will offer a special three-course prix fix dinner menu ($95 per person) Friday, February 12 through Sunday, February 14. Menu highlights include Lobster Pot Pie with butternut squash, potato, fennel and brandy cream sauce, Beef Wellington with mushroom duxelles, foie gras and truffle, and Tupelo Honey Cheesecake with charred strawberry jam, champagne brittle gel and pecan speculos. An a-la-carte menu will also be available.

Indulge in smoked lamb ribs, crispy duck mole, fire-roasted lobster, chocolate tart and more. The restaurant will be open on Valentine’s Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday dinner hours are 3 to 9 p.m.

Jonathan’s The Rub Memorial Green, 12505 Memorial, 713-808-9291
Jonathan’s The Rub Memorial Green will be offering its regular menu plus a menu of specials for Valentine’s weekend. Treat yourselves to oysters on-the-half-shell, filet and stuffed lobster tail, a 42-ounce tomahawk and more. The restaurant will be open extended hours on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., to include dinner service. Automatic gratuity of 20-percent on all tables on Valentine’s night.

In addition to its regular menu, La Lucha will be offering a special selection of dishes (dinner only) over Valentine’s Day weekend. Additions include Poor Man’s Plateau, consisting of marinated crab fingers, crab and shrimp campechana, smoked redfish dip, shrimp cocktail, dozen oysters, and Cajun caviar ($79.95), Crawfish Ravioli ($19.95), Grilled Maine Lobster ($52), 8 oz prime filet ($49), and a S’more ($9).

The restaurant is offering its a la carte menu for lunch and dinner on Saturday, February 13; and on Sunday, February 14, La Table will be open from 5 to 9:30 p.m. offering a Valentine's Pre-Fixe for $95 per person in its upstairs dining space and an a la carte menu downstairs. Dine on salmon caviar, heritage pork terrine, red snapper, filet with black truffle sauce and tarte tatin.

Landry’s Seafood House
Enjoy Landry’s Seafood House’s featured dishes from February 12 through 14, including crab stuffed mahi mahi, seared scallops, and filet and lobster tail.

Le Colonial, 4444 Westheimer, 713-629-4444
The restaurant is offering a three-course prix fixe menu ($85 per person) with menu highlights including the Yellowtail Crudo (Hiramasa) with wasabi, lime caviar, crispy shallots, shiso, and preserved lemon pulp; Pan Seared Seabass (Ca Chein Dac Biet) with seabass, bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, and lobster coconut broth; and 1.5 lb. Poached Lobster (Tom Hum) with Malabar spinach, chanterelles, and wasabi vinaigrette.

Features include twin Maine lobster tails, stuffed with Gulf crab and finished with a Champagne scented butter and a decadent Surf and Turf with six-ounce prime filet mignon and half Maine lobster tail, both available February 12 – 14 during dinner service.

Both MWD locations will offer prix fixe menus this Valentine’s Weekend. From Friday through Sunday, the Washington location offers a three-course prix fixe menu ($75 per couple, $40 per individual) with choices from foie gras on brioche and pan-seared branzino to red velvet tres leches. Over at the Montrose location, guests can enjoy a three-course prix fixe ($45 per person) on Saturday and Sunday, with choices including Portuguese-style mussels, braised lamb shank and chocolate espresso layer cake. 

Mastro's Steakhouse, 1650 West Loop South, 713-993-2500
Mastro’s Steakhouse will feature a decadent Chateaubriand for two and Red Velvet Butter Cake in the restaurant all Valentine’s weekend long.

Mico’s Hot Chicken, 1603 North Durham 
For Valentine's Day weekend only (Friday-Sunday), Mico's will be offering the "Burning Love" Sammich, which kicks Mico's hottest spice level up a notch to “Extra, EXTRA Hot.” The upgraded spice level will also be available on their tenders and loaded fries.

Morton’s The Steakhouse 
From February 11 – February 14, diners can indulge in a three-course Steak & Lobster menu for two + a bottle of wine to share for $169.

Morton’s Grille
Morton’s Grille will celebrate Valentine’s Day with its famous Steak & Lobster Oscar feature from February 11 – 14 for $59, plus its full a la carte menu. 

Musaafer, 5115 Westheimer, 713-242-8087
Musaafer’s seven-course menu comprises artfully plated dishes, including the V-Pill served in the form of an edible capsule filled with reduced watermelon juice and a V-spice blend. The full seven courses will be served during two seatings on Sunday, February 14, with an abbreviated five-course menu available on Friday and Saturday.

Mutiny Wine Room, 1124 Usener, 832-618-1233
A special Valentine’s Day Wine Dinner ($100 per person) will be available Feb. 12 – 14, featuring a three-course prix fixe wine pairing dinner that also includes a special wine flight for two in its Tasting Room. The daily menu will also be available.

The Nash, 1111 Rusk, 713-222-6274
Treat your Valentine to a four-course Valentine’s Day Weekend prix fixe menu for $49/person, including a glass of bubbly on Valentine’s Weekend, Friday-Sunday. Choices include yellowfin tuna crudo, Korean bacon, filet mignon and lemon olive oil cake, among others. The regular dinner menu available as well.

The Oceanaire Seafood Room, 5061 Westheimer, 832-487-8862 
The Oceanaire will offer a Valentine’s three-course, prix-fixe menu for $85 per person. Dishes include Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Lobster Bisque, 10-ounce Filet Mignon “A La Oscar” and New York Style Cheesecake. The regular dinner menu is also available.

One Fifth Southern Comfort
Usually closed on Sundays, the restaurant will be open for dinner on Sunday, February 14.

Enjoy chef Travis McShane’s a-la-carte lunch and dinner menu in addition to a handful of memorable Valentine’s Day additions. Walk-ins are accepted, but reservations are highly encouraged.

Guests can enjoy a la carte chef specials that include Mediterranean Langoustines with Hudson Valley Foie Gras Torchon, topped with Winter Black Truffle or Greek Peppercorn Crusted Prime Filet Mignon with Butter Poached Maine Lobster Tail and Olive Oil Roasted Potatoes. Features available February 12 - 14 during dinner service.

The Palm, 6100 Westheimer 
The Valentine’s Day Menu ($350) will be available on Sunday, February 14 featuring a five-course dinner for the couple with paired drinks. Highlights include quail lollipops, bacon and bleu cheese stuffed baby potatoes, bourbon collards with smoked bacon, Kona crusted filet and prosciutto-wrapped shrimp, and deconstructed s’mores.

Pappas Bros. Steakhouse
Pappas Bros. Steakhouse is offering a special Valentine’s dinner (three courses for $95) all weekend—February 12-14—in addition to its a la carte options.

Picos will host a four-day Valentine’s Celebration, “Con Amor,” taking place Thursday, February 11 – Sunday, February 14. Experience romance with a choice between two prix fixe menus, including the Spanish Paella Experience ($85 per couple) or the Pasión Parrilla Mixita “De Luxe” ($95 per couple). Each experience includes a complimentary glass of champagne for each guest. Additionally, on Sunday, Picos will offer Brunch Con Amor – a special Valentine’s Day brunch buffet laden with a variety of signature dishes including Paella Valenciana, Ceviche Campechana, oysters, and more. Brunch is $85 per couple and includes a glass of champagne for each guest.

Pier 6 Seafood & Oyster House, 113 6th, San Leon, 281-339-1515 
Treat your date to a four-course candlelit dinner by the bay, with a menu created by executive chef Joe Cervantez featuring selections including black garlic seared scallops, crab-avocado salad, lobster gnocchi and grilled yellowfin. Cost is $69 per person, with an option to add on bottle of Veuve Clicquot ($110) and Veuve Clicquot Rosé ($135) with souvenir glasses.

For Valentine’s Day, Prego will be open from noon to 9 p.m. serving its regular menu plus off-the-menu specials including Veal Chop Milanese and Lobster Fra Diavolo, all available to-go as well. There will also be specials on wine and cocktails all day.

Rainbow Lodge, 2011 Ella, 713-861-8666
Rainbow Lodge, easily one of Houston’s most romantic restaurants, will be open Valentine’s Day for dine-in seating, with brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner from 4:30 to 10 p.m. Brunch features an a la carte menu including $2 mimosas; and dinner is a three-course menu featuring The Lodge’s much-loved seafood, wild game, Texas beef dishes and more plus a glass of bubbles to start for $89 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Rainforest Café 
From February 12 – 14, diners can enjoy a three-course prix-fixe menu is $65 per couple. Feature dishes include Corn Chowder, Paradise House Salad, Pastalaya, Aloha Salmon & Shrimp, Key Lime Pie and Tribal Cheesecake.

Rosie Cannonball, 1620 Westheimer, 832-380-2471
Rosie's Valentine's Day service is a la carte with a few specials, including Doppio Ravioli—two fillings sealed inside each ravioli, plus all of Rosie’s rosés on the list at retail pricing

State Fare Kitchen + Bar, 947 Gessner, 832-831-0950; 15930 City Walk, 713-234-1405 
Both locations will offer Galentine Brunch Specials and Valentine's Dinner Specials all weekend long, Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14. Brunch is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features the full menu plus $16 rose bubbles flights, $30 mimosa carafes and $15 red velvet pancakes with chocolate covered strawberry. Dinner service starts at 4 p.m., with featuring include a $49 Steak & Lobster Duo – petite filet with lobster two ways served on a bed of mashed potatoes and a red velvet and white chocolate mousse mason jar for dessert.

The restaurant will be offering a special dine-in menu for $125 per person on V-Day, with offerings including Caviar service, Foie Gras and Bone Marrow Terrine, Snapper Crudo, Squid Ink Corzetti, Oak Roasted Tuna, Prime Filet and Lobster Tail, Champagne Float, Chocolate Tart and more.

The River Oaks District steakhouse will be open from 4 to 10 p.m. with its menu of steaks, chops, seafood and more.

Sylvia’s will be offering Parrillada Special for Two which includes a half-pound of chicken and beef fajitas, two grilled quail and four jumbo shrimp, served with rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, sour cream and tortillas, plus one chocolate tres leches to share for $48.95++.

The Tasting Room, 818 Town and Country, 281-822-1500 
From Friday through Sunday, The Tasting Room will offer a Valentine’s Weekend prix fixe menu ($65 per person), with course options from cacio e pepe tagliatelle and truffle beurre blanc scallop over smoked corn polenta to chocolate pots de crème.

The elegant fine dining spot is offering an exclusive four-course experience for dine-in customers and a three course multi-choice menu (an abbreviated version of the dine-in menu) for two ($150) available for curbside pickup. Dine-in guests will have the option of two seatings: 5:30 p.m. at $95 per person or 7:30 p.m. at $155 per person. Highlights include bolognese bianco, cacio e pepe risotto, hamachi crudo, Maine lobster, truffled prime filet, Mediterranean branzino, “A Study of Chocolate” dessert and raspberry pavlova, among others.

Traveler’s Table, 520 Westheimer
Enjoy an indulgent two-course prix fixe brunch, think Morning Churros, Custard Lava French Toast, or Louisiana Fried Chicken, for $40/person with the choice of a bloody, mimosa, shot or mocktail. Valentine’s Day Brunch is available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on February 13 and 1 (this will be the only menu available for brunch on February 14). Dinner will feature a three-course prix fixe menu ($65/person) including a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Valentine’s Day Dinner is available on February 13 from 5 to 11 p.m. and on February 14 from 5 to 10 p.m. (this will be the only menu available for dinner on V-Day).

Treebeards (Bunker Hill only), 9655 Katy 
Treebeards will be offering a Valentine's special for two: deviled eggs, roasted salmon with mustard sauce with choice of two sides and any bottle of wine for $80. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Enjoy a romantic evening in Turner’s intimate dining room, with live music each night (Thursday-Sunday) and flowers available by preorder. All guests will receive a complimentary small box of chocolates.

Vic & Anthony’s, 1510 Texas, 713-228-1111 
The steakhouse will celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend with a featured Dinner for Two (or a meal to-go), available February 12-14. The dine-in featured dinner for two contains a 12-ounce center cut filet mignon, cracked lobster stuffed with preserved lemon scampi butter and haricots verts for $110.

Weights and Measures, 2808 Caroline
W+M is celebrating Valentine's Day with Valentine cocktails, a Valentine's Day Disco Brunch and a special Sunday Night Dinner offering for $75 a person (additional $24 with wine pairings) with seatings from 6-9:30 p.m. Dine on choices such as house smoked salmon mousse, roasted lamb chop with mint strawberry preserve, bone in ribeye for two ($20 supplement), and buttermilk panna cotta. The regular dinner menu will also be available.

Willie G's
Enjoy one of Willie G’s Valentine’s features this Valentine’s Weekend, as well as its signature menu. Available  from February 12 through 14.

Xochi is offering a special Couple’s Menu on the nights of February 11, 12 and 13 ($110 per couple plus beverage, tax and gratuity), a Valentine’s Day brunch menu ($49 per person plus beverage, tax and gratuity) and a Valentine’s Day dinner menu ($85 per person plus beverage, tax and gratuity). Dine on tlayuda, molotes, snapper, lamb shank, three milk-soaked strawberry cake and more.
