Congratulations to Jay B., T.T. and Brian B., our three lucky readers who each just snagged a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack of Jesse Baget's new dark comedy Breathless starring Val Kilmer, Gina Gershon, Kelli Giddish and Ray Liotta. (See our interview with Baget here.) The film, set in a small Texas town, features Lorna (played by Gina Gershon) and Tiny (Kelli Giddish), two chain-smoking women who hog-tie Lorna's no-good husband Dale (Val Kilmer) after he robs a savings and loan, getting away with $100,000. Lorna and Tiny want the money but Dale's not in the mood to share. Lorna tries to get him to spill the beans, but she accidentally kills him instead. Now Lorna and Tiny have both a dead body and the missing loot on their hands. Getting rid of Dale's dead body isn't so hard. It just takes an electric knife and some time.
Unfortunately for Lorna and Tiny, finding the stolen money is a different matter.
