Emily Todd, Menil's Deputy Director, Vacating Her Post

Emily Leland Todd, the Menil Collection's first deputy director, has decided to leave the museum after nearly three years on the job.

Phone messages left with the Menil seeking comment were not returned.

Todd began her post on August 18, 2008, following a stint as the assistant for cultural affairs for then-mayor Bill White. At the Menil, Todd headed up the office of planning and advancement, and her responsibilities included development, membership and the planned expansion of the museum campus.

"The work of Dominique and John de Menil has shaped my life," said Todd in 2008 after she accepted her new gig. "It is an honor to become a part of this extraordinary institution."

Todd's previous stints in the art world include program director for the Andy Warhol Foundation and DiverseWorks' executive director from 1995 to 1999.
