What a Crock: Bread Pudding

I recently had some bread pudding at Gatlin's. That experience provided all the motivation I needed to find a crock pot recipe and give a home version a shot.

The rundown This bread pudding recipe consists of simple ingredients typically found in most households. Bread, brown sugar, eggs, cinnamon, raisins, and milk--sound like things you have on hand?

The taste Absolute winner--the ease, coupled with the delicious taste, make this a keeper. When the bread pudding is done cooking, be sure to give it a good stir. This way, each serving will consist of the spongy interior, as well as the crispy, chewy exterior. The raisins and apples added sweetness, along with texture to the dish. This bread pudding was moist, but not too soggy, and not overly sweet.

The ease This recipe should take no longer than five minutes to construct. Make sure to beat your eggs in a separate bowl, add to the other ingredients, mix, and dump into the crock pot. Set on high for 3-4 hours. If you're looking to make this for a large group, just double the recipe. It should still fit in the pot. Also, if you feel the need to sweeten things up, just make a simple icing--mix two teaspoons of milk with half a cup of powdered sugar.
