What's better, Peeps or Cadbury Eggs? Katharine Shilcutt broke it down for us today. But reader "Shut Up & Eat" felt that the Peeps didn't get a fair shake:
Peeps are like a fine wine.
One can't just snatch them right off the shelf as soon as they hit the stores. You've got to let them age in a low-humidity setting - that's when they're at their best. A month or two in the pantry should be sufficient to bring out their full character.
Perhaps we'll revisit the issue this summer. And speaking of Peeps, if you haven't seen the "Peep Torture" video over at Art Attack, you are missing out.
