Upcoming Events: Yoga and Wine, Beer and Brass & More

Starting September 1 until September 15, CRAVE Cupcakes has partnered with the Arts in Medicine Program at MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital to honor National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. During these two weeks, you can purchase four flavors decorated with beautiful toppers created by MD Anderson patients in place of the usual from CRAVE. The Arts in Medicine Program at MD Anderson believes that art helps young patients feel better. Purchase a strawberry, chocolate, vanilla or red velvet cupcake with a topper designed by MD Anderson patients for $3.50 and $1 from each cupcake sold will be donated to the Arts in Medicine Program at MD Anderson.

Marc Anthony is coming to the Toyota Center on September 5, and Quattro has prepared a special pre-concert dinner for concert-goers. Besides the free parking at a location within walking distance from the Toyota Center, you get a three-course dinner designed by Executive Chef Maurizio Ferrarese for $39 and a free glass of wine to end your night.

To some, yoga is a stress reliever and to others wine is their saving grace, but Namitzi Yoga & Ikon Fitness think there's nothing wrong with putting the two together. On Friday, September 6 from 8-10:30 p.m. at UnWine, Namitzi offers you the chance to spend 75 minutes in a Vinyasa Yoga practice followed by a glass of wine and light bites for $45. Reserve your spot now because there are only 12 spots available in the class.

The River Oaks location of Churrascos will host a Chef Pairing Dinner available any time between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday, September 9 for $65 per person. The menu, created by the chefs and beverage director at Churrascos, will feature a variety of dishes from "Untapped Regions of Spain," such as marinated cucumber with tomato, garlic and olives with a cucumber-avocado gazpacho, and pork scaloppine with blue cheese and ricotta ravioli covered in a tomato bianco sauce. Each item on the featured menu will be paired with a wine or beer selected by the beverage director.

On September 10 at 6 p.m., Saint Arnold Brewing Company hosts Beer & Brass Concert featuring the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra (ROCO) Brass Quintet. Reserve your spot at the brewery for $30 or $300 for ten people at a table to enjoy a night of music from ROCO, and food and beer from the local brewery.
