If you blink, you might miss Boheme. The coffee shop-by-day, cocktails-by-night hideaway is tucked away on Fairview between Morgan and Taft. On Thursday nights, Boheme gives you the perfect excuse to drink - Spacetaker's Cultured Cocktails Happy Hour. Each week from 5 to 10 p.m., a portion of the proceeds goes to a different non-profit arts organization. There's also Ladies Night on Tuesdays and an all-day happy hour on Sundays.
Boheme isn't your typical happy hour with fresh-out-of-college professionals or rowdy, wishing-they-were-still-in-college professionals. Instead, you'll find a mix of both young and older professionals relaxing on an eclectic collection of sofas, chairs and barstools. It's only fitting to have Louis Armstrong or Billie Holiday playing in the background of this artsy Montrose hideaway.
Mondays through Saturdays from 4 to 7 p.m. and all day Sundays, Boheme features $4 mojitos, sangria, margaritas, well drinks and house wines. For $3, beer lovers will find three types of Shiner, two types of Real Ale and Bohemia. If you just want something to quench your thirst for cheap, try a $2 Bud or Miller Light. I highly recommend the delicious sangria, which tastes more of brandy than sugary-sweet fruit.
When you get hungry, grab one of Boheme's snacks, which include pizzas, empanadas, and a meat and cheese plate. They don't have happy hour prices, but it won't break the bank.
This is a hideaway worth finding. A comfy couch and strong sangria is the perfect way to relax after a long work day. One warning - parking is hard to find. But Boheme does offer valet.
