O Pioneers!!! Roll Bus While On Tour in California

We got word early this afternoon through Punknews.org and our Twitter page that local indie-punkers O Pioneers!!! got into a van accident yesterday. The van rolled a few times on Interstate 80, which runs through the northern half of the US.

No life-threatening or serious injuries were reported, but lead singer Eric Solomon did comment on Twitter that three members of their party did in fact suffer concussions and went to the hospital. Solomon had been Tweeting on his profile about how bad the conditions were just hours before the accident, saying "Driving on I-80. I hate I-80. In fact I loathe it." Three hours later he posted a picture of the totaled van with the caption "Bye bye van."

The band had just finished up playing a few dates with Against Me on the West Coast. They had just left the AM leg of their tour when they got in the accident en route to a date in Reno, Nevada.

The band's van was summarily totaled, with Solomon adding on Twitter, "Bumps and bruises but we all walked away, and the only thing broken was our van. All the equipment is fine and we are in a U-Haul with everything." The band will continue to play gigs.

O Pioneers!!! is currently touring behind the excellent Neon Creeps full-length and is due to play a homecoming show in Houston on January 4 at the Mink with Lemuria, Football Etc., and the Max Levine Ensemble.
