French Electro Greats Justice Hitting Houston October 28

My prayers from 2007 have been answered. French electronic duo Justice is finally hitting Houston on October 28 at the House Of Blues. The pair, who just released Audio, Video, Disco. last fall, have never been to Houston, though every hipster bar in town played and still plays the hell out of their first album Cross. They made electro for headbangers, and it was fun.

In fact I think the closest they have come to our city was a few spots at SXSW in March 2008, including a Playboy party where someone -- maybe me -- partied too hard and unplugged their whole set.

Their live shows are legendarily loudly lighted and abrasive, and you can get a taste of their gigs from their A Cross the Universe concert documentary.

Some would say they and fellow countrymen Daft Punk paved the way for marquee acts like Skrillex, Pretty Lights, and Rusko to help make the bro-downs of today possible, and they would all be correct. They helped bust down a few fences in the late '00s for sure, and made electronic music cool again for the fifth or sixth time since the '90s.

Tickets go on sale on Friday.
