Sarah Palin, Twitter, Weezy Top 2010's Most Tired Stories

Some rappers happen to be thoughtful, intelligent people. Every Monday that isn't a national holiday, Rocks Off will have some of them here discussing issues relevant to their culture.

This Week's Panel: Bun B, Kyle Hubbard, Fat Tony, Renzo, Brad Gilmore

Not Invited: 2010, which is so last year.

This Week's Prompt: DMX just got sentenced to yet another year in prison. This, as I'm sure you're aware of, ain't exactly a new storyline. So the question: What other 2010 storylines are you tired of hearing about?

Bun B: Wikileaks.

Rocks Off: Funny.

Kyle Hubbard: Man, there are honestly quite a few. I don't want to see "Dr.Dre" and "Detox" in the same sentence until the words "officially released" are included in it. Shit has been about to drop for too long of a time now. And yes, I heard "Kush," but I won't believe it until the disc is spinning in my CD player (what's an iPod?).

I want both sides of the political fence to stop talking about Sarah Palin. Those who hold her on a pedestal are ignorant and should be embarrassed they let her rise to such a prominent position, and the ones who tarnish her need to shut their mouths because it only adds to her aura. Just stop any and all mention of Sarah Palin, all the way.

Kanye had a great album this year, but not the best album, let's be real.

But the No. 1 [story] that has to stop is legitimate rap Web sites and blogs covering when rappers beef on Twitter; it's not even real beef. I mean, it's on fucking Twitter.

RO: Pffft. What kind of lame blog would write about someone's Twitter feed???

Renzo: Tired of hearing about Sarah Palin. Period.
