If the works in "L'heure bleue" could speak, they'd say "Boo!" "I'm sort of making a ghost of an object," says Michael Crowder. The artist works with molding glass to create objects such as bicycle tires, phonographs and balloons. The crystal-like appearance of each gives it an (intended) ghostly vibe. "The thing should look like it's just dematerializing in front of your eyes," Crowder says. The artist uses other material besides glass; another work is a urinal made of melted urinal cakes (an homage to Marcel Duchamp's Fountain). Crowder also is giving the gallery a floor-to-ceiling, indigo-blue paint job. "These odd, white ghostly objects [will be] hovering out of this weird, dark space." Opening reception 6 to 9 p.m. today.
