LUMA

Though you might think "getting lit" is something your just-paroled uncle can't wait to do at the family barbecue this summer, it's something quite different in LUMA, "the world's first human light show." In this live-action show, illuminated light systems are affixed to a number of performers Ñ including dancers, gymnasts, acrobats and puppets Ñ for an explosion of synchronized luminosity that rivals any UFO sighting or fireworks display. Fireflies, meteors, carnival rides and even computer screen savers come to life in a show geared toward anyone who ever played with a flashlight under the covers as a child. Or just smoked an awfully large joint. Laser Zeppelin or Floyd at the planetarium? That is so '80s. LUMA lifts audiences to a higher level, without the need for illegal substances. 8:30 p.m. Miller Outdoor Theatre, 100 Concert Drive.
